Ernie,
Love this app!
I have a question primarily about manually creating decks in Excel with pre-set settings (I'm writing some Python to do it in bulk). Most settings are clear from looking at the export of an existing deck set up the way I want it, but "Cards to Study" is one setting I don't see.
The background is that I used some other posts to figure out how to set up a Layout to start with Side 4 (I'm using it to get some practice recognizing unusual plural forms without the context of the singular word). Since not all my cards have a Side 4, I'm using the categories to label those cards, and then using "Cards to Study" to "exclude unassigned". When I look at the exported deck, I can see the settings for advanced-lay out, the lay out names and strings, and the stat-direction, but I can't see where the option for excluding/including categories is set. I thought maybe it was embedded in the deck stats, but I couldn't find any documentation to explain those (I did find your helpful .xls on the card stats - thanks). Generally, I'm curious about the meaning of the deck stats anyway. So my two questions are:
1) Is there a way to manually set the Cards to Study option using categories in a spreadsheet of cards for import?
2) How can I interpret the deck stats
Thanks!
