Slight delay in TTS

Is there a way to add a slight delay in the middle of a paragraph? Sometimes Android TTS doesn't give quite enough, so I just wonder if there's a way to add a wee bit, I've tried adding a couple extra commas, but that doesn't work

No, I don't have a way to add a delay for Android TTS.
I might have a way to do it using some HTML like code if using Amazon Polly (which requires mp3 file downloads). If this is of interest to you, let me know and I will look into it.
