TTS Set delay setting between Side1 and Side2?

Postby johnstonf » Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:00 am

Is there any Sound delay setting between side1 and side2 for TTS?
(I'm hoping to add a pause of about 4 seconds)
or is there a pause character i can embed?
Thanks

Go to Deck Options > Timers / Slideshow

In the slideshow section at top, you can set a delay (default 3 seconds) between side 1 and side 2. I think this is what you are asking about.

If you want the delay to start after the sound is played, see the setting "delay after sound". This setting will work with mp3 files, though I'm not sure it will work for Siri or Android built-in TTS.

Thanks Ernie! You're my HERO!

So under Deck Options > Timers / Slideshow ...i set "delay after sound" on "Sound 1" (Side 1) to 7 seconds
(it works on my Android TTS!!! (at least in my quick test!)

Again, thanks! (makes it very usable!)

You've done a great job on FCD...

Fred

P.S. I included the new setting in my Evernote... so the header of each deck looks like this...
(for reference... and the \\ is converted to TAB by VisualStudioCode before xfr to phone via your website)
(new setting added is line "*\\slideshow-delay-after-sound-sec\\7,0,0,0,0" in below...)
wow, very cool!
