Oh, I forgot one important piece. You need to have auto-play-sound turned on. Double-tap sound play button to toggle this on/off. I'm hoping this will fix the problem.

Hi Ernie

Thank you for the answer. I tried this procedure, but unfortunately it failed. I turned out wait for sound to play and also put delay at 10 seconds, but it failed.

I am using on Android, TTS for Japanese, foreign language is on second side, and from what I can tell I got your latest release.

Please let me know if you need more details.

?

Hi,

Try the following:
Deck Options > Timers / Slideshow > Advanced Timers (section)

If you foreign language is "Text 1", the use the "Side 1->2" section, otherwise try "Side 2->1" section.

Set the "Hide Question Timer". For example, set to "10" seconds. The app will hide your text for 10 seconds, but you can always tap to show.

If this doesn't work for you, let me know:
1) iOS or Android
2) TTS... did you download iSpeech files, or are you using Siri/Android TTS
3) Side side is your foreign language on?

On one side, just play sound

I have been using this app for several years now. I just love it!

I would like to have a card deck when side 2 only has sound OR does not display the writings. This is for studying a foreign language. I know how to activate TTS and download to the deck. This is not the issue. But what would be great is when I run spaced repetition (alternative sides), when the foreign language is shown first it actually does not show any writings but rather speaks the word or sentence. If then after pressing it displays the foreign writing, it would be excellent too.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
