The only way to do animated GIFs currently is to use HTML:
Instead of putting the picture in a "Picture" column, put it in a "Text" column and use an <img> tag. Try the following:

Text 1 | Text 2
orange | <img src="orange.gif">

You might want to include a height or width parameter to limit the size to your screen. For example:
<img src="example.gif" width=400>

Sorry I don't have a better way at this time. If you need more guidance with this, let me know.

Creating a video from a browse mode slideshow? That's a new idea. Interesting, but with huge backlog of work, and being a feature I figure would benefit very few, I don't think this will happen.

I admire the efforts put into FCD, in order to make it convenient, intuitive and very helpful

I have two features that could made FCD more awesome:
1- The feasibility of adding Gifs instead of pictures
2- The possibility of exporting Browse mode into mp4 format

Big respect for this great app.
